Ed BarrowsEd Barrows' Story

Situation

Ed Barrows kicked off his professional consulting business and needed a revamped website that reflected what he was about. His objective was to differentiate himself from other consultants flooding his industry sector and to have a slick-as-all-get-out website. (Everyone wants a website like that, right?) Strategically, he wanted to leverage his site to be a resource with evolving content as well as a sales vehicle for prospects to learn about his offerings.

The Better3 Solution

After several discussions with Ed, we determined that a leading differentiator was his ability to teach and coach anyone. His animated, gregarious and no-BS tactical approach to professional coaching was by far his winning formula, and we experienced this first hand at Palladium Group's Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Boot Camp.

We positioned his website to focus on education, exploration and professional coaching. We structured his website redesign to be a scalable and navigable resource for his clients and prospects. In his Planning through Performance section, we continue to add a variety of resources that tie into his bi-monthly eNewsletter.

Deliverables

Better3 created the following:

  • Website redesign
  • Website copy
  • eNewsletter design
  • eNewsletter campaign distribution

The Transformation

Result-wise, Ed has received a five-fold increase in web traffic within 11 months post launch. He has received a significant increase in unsolicited business development through the website, including several publishing opportunities of his work.

Ed's a great marketer, and his audience has grown dramatically since he first began building the rich content that makes up his site today. This has also led to book deals, appearances and new engagements that has positioned him as the professional resource for strategic planning and performance for organizations.
